Yiming Liu is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work spans industrial ecology, risk and resilience, and AI for sustainability. His research uses life cycle thinking, risk assessment, and data-driven methods to identify trade-offs, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for more sustainable and resilient systems. At Georgetown University, he works with Dr. Roshi Nateghi and the SuRGE Lab to study resilience and supply-chain risks associated with food-system transitions in South America.
Yiming received his Ph.D. from Purdue University, an M.S. from Peking University, and a B.S. from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
Outside of research, he enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and exploring new places and the cultural life of the DMV area.
