Ishir Dutta is a postdoctoral associate who is an environmental scientist working on air pollution and climate. He earned his PhD at MIT, studying long-term trends in precursors of fine particulate matter, ozone, and acid rain, with a focus on nitrogen oxides. His research uses a combination of large observational datasets and numerical models to study where pollutants come from, how they are changed in the atmosphere, and the effects they have on air quality.
